Maxell SR batteries with the word “INDUSTRIAL”clearly marked were introduced in Oct. 2008 for sale to watch manufacturers. These batteries have been designed exclusively for manufacturers of timepieces and are therefore different to products sold in the consumer market. However, it has come to our attention that Maxell SR batteries with the “INDUSTRIAL” wording have been repackaged without Maxell’s authorization and sold in the consumer market as replacement batteries. Please note that due to inadequate quality control during repackaging Maxell does not guarantee the quality of these batteries.
Design
The word “INDUSTRIAL” is clearly marked on SR batteries that have been directly supplied to watch manufacturers. See the battery designs below.
